1000 Series Aluminum Alloy

1000 series aluminum alloy has an aluminum content of not less than 99.0%. It is a relatively soft and highly ductile material in the alloy series, but its strength is low. It is usually used to manufacture products that require high ductility and good corrosion resistance.
The 1000 series Aluminum is the one with the highest aluminum content, and it is the purest type of aluminum alloy. Aluminium 1000 Series has good ductility, corrosion resistance, conductivity, and thermal conductivity, but relatively low tensile strength compared to other alloy series. It cannot be strengthened by heat treatment, has poor machinability, is difficult to braze, and is prone to deformation under compression.
The main alloys commonly used in various industries from construction materials to the automotive industry in the 1000 series aluminium are 1050, 1060, 1070, and 1100.

Product Types

1000 series aluminum alloy can be made into different forms of products through different processes, including rods, profiles, tubes, sheets, and coils.
1000 series aluminum rods are easy to work with and commonly used materials. They can be made into different sizes and shapes based on what you need, and used to make things like connectors, bolts and nuts, electronic parts, and more.
Aluminum profiles in the 1000 series aluminium are light and easy to work with, and don’t build up static electricity. You can shape them in many ways to suit your needs, and use them for making building fronts, barriers, window frames, and more.
Aluminum alloy 1000 series can be shaped into tubes of different sizes and shapes, like round, square or trapezoidal tubes. These tubes are usually made by squeezing round rods and are used in car parts, condensers, air conditioners, and refrigeration systems.

Applications

Aluminum with a content of not less than 99.85% is classified as high-purity aluminum, mainly used in scientific experiments, chemical industry, and special purposes. Aluminum with a content of 99.0% to 99.85% (excluding 99.85%) is classified as industrial pure aluminum.
The 1000 series aluminum alloy is commonly used in industries that make things like pressure vessels and food packaging because it’s easy to work with and can be shaped in many ways. It’s also resistant to rust and can be used to make things like containers, tanks, pipes, wires, and cables. Sometimes it’s even used to make decorative things like door and window frames, ceilings, and wall panels for inside buildings.

Food processing

1000 series aluminum alloy is great for making pots, pot covers, tableware, and cooking utensils. It doesn’t corrode easily, is easy to shape, and is safe to use with food. That’s why it’s perfect for making different kinds of kitchen equipment.

Building decoration

Doors, windows, exterior walls, curtain walls, and exterior panels for buildings are made from 1000 series aluminum alloy plates, profiles, and bars. These materials are light, resistant to fading, fire, water, and oxidation, and are commonly used for building decoration.

Chemical industry

1000 series aluminum alloy materials are suitable for producing catalysts for synthetic resins and for manufacturing chemical equipment, storage tanks, pressure vessels, etc.

Electronic industry

The 1000 series aluminum alloy is commonly used in electronics to make protective layers for wires and cables, as well as transformer strips.

Automotive industry

The 1000 series aluminum alloy is widely used in automobile production for body components, engine parts, gearbox shells, braking systems, mufflers, radiators, and electronic control components.
