What is Alloy 2219?

2219 aluminum alloy offers high strength and good machinability. It’s ideal for high-temperature applications and stress corrosion resistance, often used in supersonic aircraft components. However, it has lower corrosion resistance and is harder to weld than other aluminum alloys.
